Mightiest Quapaw Wesley Jefferson has
been undergoing intense radiation and chemotherapy
treatment since February for a cancer that
was discovered in his lungs. He & his family
have been struggling with monthly bills & additional
medical obligations. Many of you know Wesley
as the “Mississippi Junebug,” the
steadfast Clarksdale blues singer, bass player,
leader of the Wesley Jefferson Southern Soul
Band. He also drives shuttles for Quapaw and
his son Clifton is a graduate of the Mighty
Quapaws Apprenticeship. Both are friends of
the Sunflower River .
